I would like to introduce myself...

Hello to all....

I am many things in life.. I am a Mom first, a mom to a 2 legged baby and a mom to many 4 legged babies :).., I am a daughter, Sister, BF, Niece, Grandchild, Cousin, and Child of God. I am very vocal about how much animals mean to me and am very very opinionated when it comes down to the topic of animals especially Dogs or as I call them Furbabies.

Well I thought a blog would be a great idea for me to be able and just get off my chest what i think about things on a day to day basis. There are days where I get so mad and motivated at things that are near and dear to my heart such as animals and animal rights and then there are days where the sadness just takes over. To all that know me they know that I love animals more than humans most of the time and that my furbabies come first in my life. I have been an animal rescuer for many years and a volunteer at shelters. I believe in speaking up for the animals because if us animal lovers don't do it then who will??..Some think I am a bit overboard in my love for animals and in my beliefs as to how I feel they should be treated but to me I don't think it is possible to love an animal too much or to fight too hard to save them and get better treatment for them. I know that it is an uphill battle and that just when you think you have made some progress you feel like the hill is going to cave in on you but all there is is Hope and Faith that what I do and what other animal lovers do makes some sort of difference. Even if it is just for others to see how passionate you are about animals and to see that you will stand up for them and it gets them motivated is worth all the work and all the awful things you see when you are involved in animal rescue.

I have seen some horrible, awful things that to this day haunt me when I sleep and at times when I am awake. I have learned to turn that into motivation towards helping animals and educating people that otherwise wouldn't have a clue as to half the things that go on in the world. Most people don't know what all goes on as far as animal cruelty because they are so involved in their own little world and once you educate them then it's like they are so shocked. I remember the first time I told people about puppy mills, the look on their faces as to the fact that they even existed was indescribable. Just because people choose to ignore the awful things in life doesn't mean they don't exist or that it will just miraculously go away. It is our job as animal lovers to educate them.

I have never ever said that I know everything about animals because I don't and I am not right about everything but I am right when it comes to the fact that the Human race has taken it upon themselves to play God with the lives of poor and innocent animals. If i just make one person aware as to the growing problem of animal abuse and all that that entails then it is all worth it..

I also am very excited to teach my son as he grows to respect animals and to love them. I think it is so very important to teach children at a small age to be kind to animals. There is no excuse for them to be rough with them and pull on them and I want my son to know better and to be the type of kid that speaks up for them.
